Donate to Teachers

Jaya and Gemma both offer Dharma teachings on a donation basis, in an ancient Indian tradition of generosity, or dana in Sanskrit. This revolutionary practice of trust makes Open Dharma events more accessible and at the same time empowers a heart-based economy and culture.

Your freely given personal gifts to Jaya and/or Gemma support them to cover living costs in Spain, so they can each dedicate time and energy to teaching. Your support is more than a tip—it is the income that sustains them and their families.

Jaya teaches Dharma online and in person, in a spirit of reciprocity, like her teachers before her.

Gemma offers her pilgrimages and deep rest retreats on a donation basis.

Donate to Open Dharma

Open Dharma has two separate branches: one is a nonprofit in the US led by Jaya and the other is a nonprofit in Catalonia led by Gemma. Donations and program payments to the Open Dharma nonprofits support all the infrastructure to create platforms for the teachings—such as websites, recording libraries, scholarships, accounts, administration, Stripe and PayPal fees, newsletter app fees and retreat center deposits.

Donate here to support the Open Dharma nonprofit in the US.

The Open Dharma non-profit in Catalonia simply manages the payments for Gemma’s retreats and events, and is not currently set up to receive donations.

Open Dharma donations do not go to teachers. Personal support for the teachers does not go to the non-profit Open Dharma organizations.

If you are unsure where to send your donation, please check first by emailing: manager@opendharma.org
