What is a Yatra?

A Yatra is a walk taken with an inner intention. There will be periods of the day spent in silence, and time set aside for meditation and reflection.

There are three Yatras in the UK 2007
Walking line of a Yatra
There are two yatras planned by Derek, the first Yatra will be in the Lake district from the 8th to the 10th June, the second Yatra will be in the Peak district from the 6th to the 8th July. They will explore living in nature with our inner nature, you need to be willing to experience living outdoors. Derek will provide the equipment necessary, but he asks you to bring basic outdoor gear. There will not be a teacher, so some experience of meditation is helpful. Fill out the form below to receive more information.

There will also be a Yatra in the south of England; a one day walk in the area of Lewes in East Sussex, on the 1st July. To register for this Yatra please send your details via the lower form below.

How the Yatra will raise money

The Yatra participants will be expected to cover the basic expenses of the event. The participants of the Lewes Yatra will be sponsored by their friends and family to spend the day in silence. All proceeds will go to the Open Centre.
